Home school

I figured since she won't start school until next year and by then she'll be 5 I'd better start now with the pre schooling, well kinda..lol We come home after taking the girls to school she has breakfast and we start out routing, Pray, flag pledges, circle time, reading and writing and then she has free play... its sounds like alot but it only take about an hour...hehe for now b/c shes just starting and doesn't have much of an attention span. She eats lunch and then takes her naps around 12 or 1 and when she wakes up she has a snack and then were off to pic up the girls.. that's out day, how exciting... I'm so proud of her though b/c she really wants to learn and look forward to the day.. God had blessed me with such amazing girls..

Uniforms

I was told that because the girls were going to wear uniforms that it would be cheaper... maybe in the long run but as of right now i feel as if we've spent a fortune.
Today Is came home very excited b/c she met her math and history teacher, she no longer has one class, she has 3.. well i think she has more but I'm not sure yet. In the morning they all meet in the Homeroom class, Mr. Comb is the official teacher then they go to Mrs. Bustillos class where she will learn Tx history and she is also her social studies teacher. Then they go to math class with Mrs. Kimbro which she absolutely loved. She has a music and P.E teacher as well, my baby is growing up! I am soo thankful that she is enjoying being there and not upset that she didn't get to go back to Walker Creek. Em on the other hand is really missing her old friends and teacher.. I pray she adjusts soon or its going to be a very long year. She does like her teacher but she says shes mean, yikes!
As for Chicken, she is doing very well at home with me, she is taking her naps, little ones but she does it and we started our schooling so we'll see how that goes.
God bless and good night!

Thank You Jesus, the girls are one year older, Isabel started 4th grade today and Emalee started the 2nd. WOW where does the time go. I'm so bummed i didn't take any pictures, maybe tomorrow, to bad, Is looked like such a big girl in her cute tee with her vest and bermuda short and Em, well what can i say... a skirt and a High School Musical shirt, very Emalee style. Since the school requires uniforms EVERYONE was wearing one, I think the girls were the only ones not wearing them..lol oh well they have 2 week b4 the Have too. But i think Em was embarrassed and she said she wanted to wear it from now on..hehe
I'm so proud of them! I am so blessed that the Lord would in-trust me with them and my prayer is that i do and treat them as He would have me do. They came home very happy and excited about school and are looking forward to a great year,... so am I
Good night!

The start of a new year...

What a busy day, I had forgotten what it was like to get the girls ready for school, I don't know why or how i forgot but somehow it seems harder this year. This morning we got up early and went to get some more school supplies while daddy went golfing with Trin, yay me! spent about an hour in line, I am soooo thankful were done and they have all they need. From there we went to Kohl's and i found some great deals especially since its tax free weekend. the girls aren't liking this whole uniform deal but there just going to have to build a bridge...lol there were so many ppl there. Daddy was done by this time and he met us at JC Penny, again, soooo many ppl there. the one awsome thing about this day is once all our shopping was done we had lunch at Red Robin its been about a year since the last time we went there, the couples retreat to be exact. I love it.. Were ready for the start of a new year.
good night

Our time in California

We took the girls to the Huntington beach, we wanted to have a bond fire at night and roast some yummy marshmellows.. it started out as a cold rainy day (thats Cali weather for ya) but the skies opened up and it turned out to be a hole lot of fun.. not to hot eitherI think I wore that sweater all day long...They on the other hand went in that water and had a blast.. Frankie and Virgina went too and some of Dianas friends showed up..
Victoria and Ariana has so much fun..

they had good clean fun..

They went fishing with gampa..

they did VBS and got to
spend time with all their old friends.
Emalee made a new friend, that happens to live in Dallas some where, they invited the girls to go to Leagoland with them and that same week they took just Em with them to Disneyland..
Oh and righ before we left we had our family reunion at Santee Lakes, it was a cool place to go hang out with family we dont regularly see and i got to say my last good byes.. tio took the girls on a boat ride, which by the way was very had to pedal.. hehe and it was hot. Chicken was in the other boat with Frank and Virgina.
When we werent out and about they spent all the thier time at the pool, by the time we got home they were soooo dark that they look funny..
Well i think that does it for our adventures in Cali, Im sure there were other things we did that i've forgotten but either way 6 weeks just werent enough, now, i know that when daddy left and we were apart for 6 weeks i said it was long, but this time around, it was the shortest ever.. We made plans to come back home on July 15. My mother in law came with us, she helped my drive... This was the 3rd time i made that drive and i was not lookng forward to it.

When we arrived there were ppl from church waiting for us so they could help unload and unpack some of the stuff we brought. Calida even made us some yummy enchiladas so we could have some dinner. There were two big welcome baskets filled with snacks for the kids, toys and even some really pretty flowers, just to say welcome to TX. That was very nice of them. So life in TX was going good, my mom was here and i knew she was going to stay a little longer and i was fine up until everyone had to go back home .. it was nice having them here with us, helping us get settled and all moved in. My mom and I spent all day driving around getting to know the area but then came the day when they left and we felt the the loneliness especially chicken who had no idea that moving meant they were going to leave and she had every intention of going back with them, matter if she didn't fit, she was going.. even if she had to go in the back when they drove off she cried so hard that i even cried with her..

The girls started school in Oct and me and chicken stayed home and enjoyed our morning naps while we waited for the others to get home, its so weird to have them out after 3 instead of 2 like back home..they better be learning something after all those hours. not only that, I am now a stay home mom.. not my cup of tea.. In Oct we had our really good friends, (who we met in Cali but are really from El Paso and are now living in San Antonio) came over and visit. We went to the Fort Worth stock yard..woo hoo.. but we had a blast seeing them and spending some time with them, it seems like forever since we had seen them. Thanksgiving came around really quick and before I knew it, it was Christmas and Marie and K were going to come and stay a week. That was the best, cuz we really needed family by this point. So we decorated and waited for them to come we took them to see the old Cowboys stadium and drove by the new one, we went to see how money is made.. but you cant take pictures. They went home and once again, we were left.

It wasn't until New Years that i started to feel lonely and sad. I couldn't believe i wasnt spending new years eve at my tias house like we had done for years..I cried for the first time since being out here.. i was beginning to miss everyone really bad. January came and it was cold, not regular cold, but arctic as they call it. It was in the 30s and I still had to get up and take the girls to school. The good thing is its an all indoor school so they never went out side but when the tree out side my bedroom looks like this, its enough to scare the heck out of me.. my car was so iced over that i had to warm it up for at least 10min before even thinking about moving it. This was always the stuff i saw on the news, not outside my window
chickens bday also came in Jan and it was kinda sad, (for me anyways, she had fun) this is one of many bdays that she will spend without all
the family together..since we live in an apartment and we wanted to have ppl help us celebrate Greg and Calida (who have 3 girls the same age as we do) lent us their house so we could have a party for her, Calida was even nice enough to make her a really cool looking cake, it was nice to be surrounded by kool ppl.

In Feb daddy got to go back home for the young adults retreat. I was so jealous.. i wish i could have gone even if it was just for the weekend. he got to see and spend time with friends and family.. i miss looking at white mount tops.
Wow, 5 1/2 months have gone by and now its Emalees bday even though we weren't going to have a birthday party she was very excited to go to build-a-bear cuz she had a couple of gift certificate and was going to go all out, and in Em's style she did.. that bear had shoes and if i would have let her she would have gotten a wig, a purse, roller skates and lots more stuff.. I don't think Ive ever wanted to get out of a store so bad as i did this one.. we spent hours tying to decide what to wear. She had fun though and that's all that i care about. After that she wanted to go to this place called sweet and sassy, it's a spa for kids, they do make up, hair, nails, toes, fashion show, you name it, they've got it.. it was kinda nice. she got her makeup done and she looked beautiful..

Well let see, what else has happened?, oh we got something i never in my widest dreams would have thought we would.. a cat, i hated cats and we ended up with one.. we've all grown to love him, yup its a him, another male in the house, daddy is so proud. We got him a petco and they had named him Tom but he has a patch on his back, so we named him Patch.lol
During spring break we were supposed to go to cali but things happend and we were unable to go, we were soooo sad. We figured if we couldnt all go we could send the girls for the summer, my in-laws would drive to El Paso and we would drive and meet them there.. but some where along the line we decided that i would go with them. Beck came and spent a week here with us and on June 4th we took off. She helped me drive the very, very long way home.. but well worth it! We left at 5:30 in the very A.M and got there at 2:30 the next day..

one year goes by so quick

So here we go, I'm not sure how many times Ive tried to start a blog.. Ive been wanting to do this so for a long time so i could look back and remember all the wonderful things God had done for us, not that i need a reminder.. I know how much He blesses us, i see it everyday!!! but I'm going to try one more time. It has been one crazy year..so many things to thank God for. Im going to try to recap this past year and then do the day to day postingWhere do i start.. well, one Sunday afternoon while sitting on the couch at gramma Maggie's house watching CMT I got this crazy thought that it would be nice to live in TX, so with prayer, daddy started looking for work and sure enough he got a phone call. The Lord started tugging at my heart to look for a church (just in case) and again sure enough i found one, well better said the Lord lead me to one. We took a trip in July of 08 to visit fam and to get a feel for what it would be like to live there. We had a lot of fun visiting Bobby and Juls, meeting fam we, (me and the girls) had never met and seeing another side of TX I didnt know about. We liked it out here and what it could mean for the girls. Daddy had his interview with the AC company, and at the same time the Lord opened doors for him to meet with Pastor Bill from CCfort worth. We spent the 4th of July doing things we wouldn't have done, like lighting fireworks and spending the day at Whitney lake. We watched the big show from our car with the Contreras and it was so much fun..
So we went home and told everyone we were moving to TX, daddy had 3 weeks to get everything ready so he could leave and be in TX Aug. 1st. They had a going away party at grappys house and it was the saddest thing ever.. Its so hard to good bye. Me and the girls stayed in Cali and finished packing and getting rid of as much stuff as we could. Since it was going to be Isabels bday grampa Leonel took all of us(grama, tio and Diana) to Disneyland to celebrate. We stayed all day and waited for the firework, they were the loudest thing Ive ever heard. One the weekend of Isabels bday we had a pool party for her at tia Teres house, this was the first time daddy wasn't there to wish her a happy birthday. So sad.. On the other had, it was nice to have everyone over one more time, she got to invite some of her friends from church and school.
Well Sept 21st came around before i knew it and it was time to leave Cali.. my mom drove with me and my inlaws were hauling a truck with the rest of our stuff, K got to come along for the ride. Our first stop was in Tucson where we slept (in the car.. not very comfy) the next morning we saw that the trailer had broken and it needed to get fix. After hours of waiting, we took K in the car with us and keep driving, they were getting restless and that's not a good thing to be when we still had 20hrs to go. My in laws stayed till it was fixed. It was a very tight fit, imagine 3 big girls and a car seat, but we made it work. Besides we stopped often.. 6 girls in one car, there was no way that we could hold it..lol It was about 6 o'clock and we couldn't stand being in the car anymore, we were ALL tired, cranky and hungry so we stopped ..(again) in this really little town called Van Horn about 2 hours past El Paso, had some dinner and stayed in a hotel this time. After a shower and the thought of a bed we felt so much better. The next morning we woke up, went downstairs and had some breakfast and went on our way.. happy campers! On the road again, there we went... My in laws caught up to us that night and stayed in the hotel next to us and we didn't even know it.. there was no phone service in that town and for a couple of miles out. We stopped many more times to even count, but we finally made it home, sweet, sweet home. We finally got to see daddy after 6 weeks of being apart, that was the longest 6 weeks of my life.
